The clubs
- Top Hill, Montenegro's biggest open-air club, set on Topliš hill (~600 m) above Budva with room for around 5,000, one of the largest open-air clubs in the region. A summer megaclub with international DJ and pop headliners, doors from about 23:00 to 06:00, running roughly late May to mid-September (Thursday–Sunday at the July–August peak) with panoramic views over the coast. - Trocadero, a long-running multi-level nightclub in Budva, with DJ nights, live acts and a packed dance floor through the summer season. In town rather than up the hill, and easy to reach.
- Hide Nightclub, an open-air club on Slovenska Obala, set back against the hillside at the Bečići end of the strip, with a stage and a full lighting rig under its canopy so it runs live sets as well as DJ nights. Of Budva's clubs it is the closest to Bečići, near enough to walk to along the promenade.
The big festival week
Once a year the Riviera hosts a full-scale festival on the sand: Sea Dance Festival, the coastal spin-off of Serbia's EXIT and one of the Balkans' biggest music events, returns to the Budva area for 2026 on 28–31 August, with free admission and a beachside main stage of world-class electronic and dance acts (the 2026 bill lists Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou and Hugel, among others). It's a short hop from Bečići and the single biggest nightlife week of the summer; the exact beach has shifted between editions, so check the official channels for the location and set times before planning around it.
A quieter drink
- Casper Bar, a relaxed cocktail and specialty-coffee bar tucked into a stone courtyard in Budva's Old Town, with good music and easy drinks by day and into the night. The spot for a low-key evening rather than a late one.
- Freedom Bar & Prosciutteria, a candle-lit wine bar and prosciutteria in a stone courtyard against the Old Town walls, with wine by the glass and boards of cured meats and cheese; one of the highest-rated spots in town for the early evening.
- Jeff Bar, a small, characterful terrace bar in the old-town lanes, cocktails and easy drinks under strings of pennant flags; a laid-back late-evening stop rather than a headline night.
- Beer & Bike Club, a long-running biker-themed beer bar on Budva's Slovenska Obala promenade, cold Nikšićko on tap under green awnings and motorcycle memorabilia across every wall; the easy walk-to option between Bečići and Budva.
Beach clubs, before dark
The riviera's beach clubs cover the hours before the bars fill up. Dukley Beach & Bar on the Zavala peninsula and Gioia Beach at the eastern end of Jaz both run day beds and a DJ booth through the afternoon, while Nammos Montenegro at Sveti Stefan and Galija Beach in the cove south of it are the dressier end of the same idea. Budva's two bar zones
Beyond the headline clubs, Budva's drinking scene splits into two distinct zones, and knowing which you're in shapes the night:
- The Old Town, inside and along the medieval fortress walls, a cluster of cocktail lounges, wine bars and live-music spots (including jazz), atmospheric and lower-key, best for the early and middle of the evening. This is where Casper Bar sits.
- The Slovenska Plaža strip. The main beachfront promenade between Budva and Bečići, lined with open-air bars, dance floors and late-night restaurants. Louder, younger and closer to the sand, the natural warm-up (or alternative) to the hilltop clubs.

The two towns run into each other along the coast, about 3 km, and the best way between them at night is the flat, paved seaside promenade, a 20–30 minute walk past Slovenska Plaža that stays lit after dark, so a taxi isn't essential for the bars and the old town. For Top Hill, though, you'll want wheels: the club sits up Topliš hill on a winding private road, reached by a dedicated shuttle bus from the promenade or a taxi. Expect a cover charge of about €15–30 and a dress code, smart-casual, no beachwear.

The scene peaks in July and August, when Top Hill runs its big-name nights and Budva's old town buzzes until late; outside high summer it is much quieter, and Top Hill closes entirely off-season.
