Бечићи
Bečići Beach
The resort strip right on one of Montenegro's most famous sandy beaches.
The heart of the resort runs the length of Bečići Beach — a roughly two-kilometre sweep of fine sand and gravel that is one of Montenegro's most famous. Large beachfront hotels line the shore here, most with pools, terraces and direct access to the sand, and a paved promenade runs the whole way.
It is the most convenient base for a beach holiday: you step from your hotel to the water, and the promenade carries you north toward Budva or south to Rafailovići on foot. Sunbeds, beach bars and watersports operators spread along the front through the summer.
- Good for
- A classic beach holiday, families, easy sea access
- Don't miss
- An early-morning swim before the sunbeds fill
- Where
- Along the main beach, between Budva and Rafailovići
Рафаиловићи
Rafailovići
The quieter fishing-village end, with seafood at the water's edge.
At the southern end of the bay, Bečići runs into Rafailovići, a small former fishing village built tight against the sea. The promenade continues along its little harbour, where seafood konobas set their tables almost on the water and fishing boats still tie up alongside.
It is calmer and more low-key than the main resort strip — a good choice if you want the beach within a short stroll but prefer to sleep somewhere smaller and quieter, with dinner by the harbour a few steps from your door.
- Good for
- A quieter stay, seafood dinners, a village feel
- Don't miss
- Grilled fish at a konoba right on the harbour
- Where
- The southern end of the bay, past the main beach
Будва
Toward Budva
The northern stretch within walking distance of Budva's old town.
North of the main beach the promenade curves around the headland toward Budva, barely three kilometres away. Staying at this end puts you between two worlds — the sand and resorts of Bečići on one side, and Budva's walled old town, marina and nightlife on the other, both reachable on foot or by a short taxi.
It suits travellers who want the beach by day but also easy access to Budva's restaurants, bars and sights after dark, without staying in the busier centre of Budva itself.
- Good for
- Combining the beach with Budva's old town and nightlife
- Don't miss
- The walk around the headland into Budva at sunset
- Where
- The northern end of the promenade, toward Budva
Where to Stay in Bečići — FAQ
Where should I stay for a first visit to Bečići?+
For a first trip, the main Bečići Beach strip is the easiest base — you are directly on the sand, with resort hotels, beach bars and the promenade to Budva and Rafailovići on your doorstep.
Which part of Bečići is quietest?+
The Rafailovići end, a former fishing village at the southern end of the bay, is the calmest — smaller and more low-key than the resort strip, with seafood konobas right on the harbour and the beach a short walk away.
Where should I stay to be near Budva?+
Stay at the northern end of the promenade, toward Budva. From there Budva's walled old town, marina and nightlife are barely three kilometres away, reachable on foot around the headland or by a short taxi, while the beach is still on your doorstep.
Is Bečići walkable?+
Yes. The resort is built along a single beachfront promenade, so most visitors get around on foot. The paved seaside path runs the length of the bay and continues to both Budva and Rafailovići; a taxi is only really needed for day trips further along the coast.
Is Bečići good for families?+
Very. The long, gently shelving sandy beach, the traffic-free promenade and the large resort hotels with pools make it one of the more family-friendly bases on the Budva Riviera.
